Anna's H.A.P.P.Y. model & bookmarks

One day, while looking at the word HAPPY, I decided to design a simple model of happiness that could bring together all of my research and knowledge. The goal was to create a framework that reminds people of the areas they can work on if they want to feel happier. From this idea, the following acronym based on the word HAPPY was developed.

Habits

Our happiness is strongly influenced by our daily habits. By building healthier and more positive routines, we can create a happier life.

Our home environment also plays an important role. When our space brings us joy, it can support and encourage the development of better habits.

Sometimes, however, our habits are shaped by the clutter we carry—either in our surroundings or in our minds. By clearing physical and mental clutter, we can create space for greater inner satisfaction and a more positive state of mind.

Attitude

Our attitude toward life plays an important role in our happiness. When we begin to appreciate and embrace our lives as they are, we create space for more positive and fulfilling inner feelings.

Challenges and difficult experiences happen to everyone, but they belong to the past and can serve as lessons. Rather than carrying bitterness, it is healthier to let go and keep our hearts open to the possibilities of a happier life.

Passion

When we do what we truly enjoy, we create more joyful and pleasurable moments in our lives. Understanding and embracing our passions and hobbies—regardless of whether others consider us good at them—can greatly contribute to a more enjoyable and satisfying life.

In addition, discovering a life purpose that is guided by our passions brings deeper meaning to our lives and supports a sense of true inner fulfilment.

People

The people around us are one of the most valuable parts of our lives. When we become happier ourselves, we naturally inspire those around us and help bring more happiness to them as well.

The world needs more love and kindness. By being loving and kind, we not only contribute positively to the world, but we also experience a deeper sense of well-being within ourselves.

Nurturing our relationships can also increase our happiness, as it helps us feel more loved, connected, and supported.

Yourself

You are important too. Keep your cup full and take time to restore your energy and meet your own needs whenever needed.

Your own self-acceptance and self-compassion are essential keys for living a fulfilling and happy life.

Often, our emotions and thoughts seem to control our happiness. But when we begin to understand that they are simply tools that help us navigate life—and that we can learn to manage them—they can become powerful helpers and true game changers for our happiness.

After creating the H.A.P. P. Y. model, I started thinking about how to remind people of it as often as possible, so it stays top of mind. That’s when an idea of bookmarks came to me.

I have designed two bookmarks, including a version for kids as little reminders of this HAPPY model. You can see also back sides of bookmarks, one with my mantra.
